Welcome to the Intermediate Program for Juniors at the San Diego Velodrome! This program is designed for young cyclists aged 10+ and who have successfully completed Junior Cruisers or have some prior track cycling experience. Our aim is to develop their skills, confidence, and passion for the sport in a supportive and challenging environment.

    What to Expect
    1. Skill Development: Riders will refine essential techniques such as cornering, drafting, and sprinting. Emphasis will be placed on improving bike handling, speed control, and race strategies.

    2. Structured Training: Our experienced coaches provide structured training sessions that balance technical drills, endurance workouts, and tactical exercises. Each session is tailored to enhance performance and build a strong foundation for future racing success.

    3. Competitive Opportunities: Juniors will have the chance to participate in local and regional competitions, gaining valuable racing experience. Our program includes mock races and time trials to prepare them for real competitive scenarios.

    4. Safety and Sportsmanship: We prioritize safety and instill a strong sense of sportsmanship. Riders will learn the importance of respect, teamwork, and fair play both on and off the track.

    5. Fitness and Conditioning: Comprehensive fitness training is integrated into the program to improve overall strength, endurance, and flexibility. Our goal is to develop well-rounded athletes who excel in all aspects of cycling.
