Junior Cruisers

Our Junior Cruisers are all about having a blast on two wheels. Through engaging activities and games, your child will discover the joy of cycling in a safe, car-free environment.
Embark on an exciting 10 session cycling journey with our Junior Cruisers at the San Diego Velodrome! Tailored for budding riders aged 7 to 18, this program is the perfect introduction to the exhilarating world of track cycling. Inspired by a holistic approach to early childhood development, our objective is to create a foundation for your child's growth by introducing them to the world of cycling in a fun and engaging manner.

What to Expect
  1. Safety:  We work together to make sure your child is able to safely ride on a track and create life long lessons around group riding.  Every class starts with basic riding safety and strategies to ride safely.

  2. Skill Building: From basic handling of a fixed gear track bike to mastering the art of entering and exiting the track safely, our introductory sessions focus on developing fundamental cycling skills. Velodrome etiquette, riding pace lines, and structured workouts are all part of the exciting curriculum.

  3. Making Connections: Beyond the bike, our classes encourage kids to make new friends who share a passion for cycling. Building camaraderie and a growth mindset is an essential element of the San Diego Velodrome program experience.
