Registration

  • Introductory Class for those who have not ridden fixed gear or ridden on a track.
    To complete track certification you must attend six classes. There will be a makeup class at the end.
  • A discounted rate for SDVA members
  • If you have done level 2 at least two times you are ready for level 3.

    What is level 3? John Croom wants to focus on advanced track riding skills. Learn from an 8 time Elite National Champion how to pursuit, sprint, and throw Madison

    If you just completed level 1 and want to try this out please come ready for an advanced session. Please ask for help if you ever have any questions.
  • This ticket is for velodrome members who want to take level 3. If you have done level 2 two times you are ready for level 3.

Monday Night Adult Introduction and Advanced classes from 7p-9p with coaches John Croom and Bojac Abrantes.

Rental bike provided for each session if you do not own a track bike yet no problem!

Each session will last about 2 hours (plan to be on the track until 9p).

Rain or shine. If it rains we go over bikes, gearing, racing, pacing, strategy, and goals. It will be fun!

The San Diego Velodrome Association (SDVA) is a public benefit, membership-based 501(C)3 nonprofit corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of California for the purposes of engaging in, promoting, encouraging, and otherwise supporting bicycle track racing, both as an athletic sport as well as a recreational activity, including such related activities as, but not limited to, bicycle safety programs, bicycle swap meets, and youth bicycling programs. The SDVA is granted a use permit by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department for the use of the velodrome facility in Balboa Park. The SDVA is responsible for administering, conducting, coordinating, and/or promoting all bicycling recreational and racing activities, including events sanctioned under the provisions of the United Cycling Federation, the United States Olympic Committee, and/or the International Cycling Union (UCI) for the San Diego Velodrome.
